A county public works department already trains its drivers with us. Look us up at tpr.fmcsa.dot.gov.
Who this is for
Anyone who puts new CDL drivers on the road.
How it works for a fleet
Most accounts are up and running inside an hour.
- Create a fleet account
Free, and it takes two minutes. The form says "school"; use your company or agency name.
- Add drivers or buy seat codes
Add drivers by name and email, one at a time or a whole roster, or prepay seats and hand out one code.
- Drivers finish on their phone
Self-paced, in English or Spanish. Each driver gets their own login and their own certificate.
- You see progress
The dashboard shows every driver's progress, score and filing status.
- Completions are filed
Each completion goes to the FMCSA registry the same day the driver passes, under our registration.
Pay the way your finance office needs
No contract, no minimum, no annual fee. One driver is a valid order.
Card on file

Seat codes

Questions fleet managers ask
Short answers. The full rules are in the guides below.
Who files the training with the FMCSA?
We do. ELDT365 is registered on the FMCSA Training Provider Registry and submits each driver's theory completion under our own registration the same day they pass. The federal deadline is midnight of the second business day. Your company or agency does not need its own registration for the theory half. Behind-the-wheel training is filed by whoever delivers it.
What if a driver fails?
Federal rules require 80 percent on the theory assessment. If a driver scores under 80, the course opens a review round with only the questions they missed, at no extra charge, until they reach 80. Nothing is marked complete and nothing is filed with the FMCSA until they do.
Can we pay by purchase order?
Yes. Request an invoice at eldt365.com/company-order and pay it against your PO. You can also put a card on the account and pay $20 per course as you enroll drivers. A W-9 is available on request.
Do drivers need their CDL permit first?
No. Federal rules do not require theory before the commercial learner's permit (CLP), or the permit before theory. Drivers can take theory before they get the permit or while they hold it. At the end they enter their license number and state exactly as printed on their license so the record matches. Behind-the-wheel training must be done before the skills test.
Will our state accept online theory?
Yes, by federal rule. 49 CFR 380.703(i) says state qualification requirements for theory instruction do not apply to providers that teach theory only online. States can add requirements for behind-the-wheel training and for their own certificates, such as a school bus certificate.
